…Fordham University’s Rose Hill Campus, Bronx NY.  Up the elevator to the 5th floor…

…where Fordham Sophomore Kyle Clonan and I planted the seedlings in their new home, the roof of the Parking Garage.  Go check it out for yourself!

Rooftops are harsh environments.  Yesterday while planting, we experienced high winds (20-30 mph) coming out of the SW, and the forecast for the next few days calls for extreemly high temperatures.   These are the kinds of conditions that plants face on a roof.  Will they survive? Which species will do best?

Soon we will know.
